You may say this game has real Disney Villains, but I like the fact that some of these bad guys aren't total jerks to everyone and the game only paints them in an evil light only to make you want to fight them. Like Morden being a good guy that repaired the city a little bit, or Gaston only worrying that famine will kill more people than the war itself (which is a real, accurate problem that always has plagued history). There are more of guys like these in Drakenhold as well *cough cough* wyvernlockdown *cough cough*

Man, I love the landsknecht class. The animation when they take damage is so freaking smooth. Also, their abilities. Summon more warriors? Constantly counterattack enemies with following slash? Heck yes.

Tarte tatin is a very special apple pie/cake that came from France. The cook forgot to put the base at the bottom of the cake, letting the apple caramel, and then to remedy the mistakr, added the pastry base at the top before flipping the plate over. The recipe was an astounding success and it is still very popular to this day and keeps the name of the inventors (the sisters Tatin)

I just recently started playing with custom mercenaries... And that is because I ran out of guards for Drakenhold cities, still, it is really fun to play with their customisation

I am saying this at the beginning of the video. Check the tower near the west swamp village, where Yahna brought Hodrik and Alain to reveal herself to be the court sorceress. She will gift you a very special item that works fantastically for her

Aaah~ finally, my favourite unit in the game this far. Those hips don't lie and Yahna is so useful, from teleportation to magic conferral, to absolutely shred anything that has armor

Is that on a new account? I'm trying a new account where I play the highest level. On the bronze seal now, my fourth map and P3. The account is level 6, I got steam punk last map. It's REALLY hard this way, I love it.

All jokes aside, always remember that you can: switch the leader mid battle with 1 honor spent or simply use valor abilities. Iirc the hoplite can help mitigate assist damage and I am quite sure the cavalry rush simply kills enemies without having the assist triggering

I just know this choice shall bite me in the rear later on, but eeh, problems for future Ciel. I actually find the Joseph Alain rapport dynamic really strong. The rapports Really really make these characters really humane if one has the time and money to develop them

I say that for your convenience, but you can check any town from the map screen by pressing x and then pushing the dorsal triggers. From there you can review the materials for the deliveries, which items are available to the shops and such...! Its super useful in the early mid game I'd say, because I always want to know if I can get the town rebuilt or not without having to teleport everywhere

I know the situation was kinda dire here, but I wanted to say that unfortunately Hoplites and Scouts don't really mesh well because the overprotection of the former... Like, Hodrik here was getting damaged by 1 (not a big deal but still) for protecting Travis that still had his passive that could nope out from any damage possible lol That is why conditions are VITAL for this game. Having certain skills only trigger in certain battle conditions is really important to be efficient

Yo!!! I am playing this game rn! It's such an awesome game, heavy recommend it! Anything Vanillaware is so good, but this one especially, given the strategic layer Its an odd mixture of Ogre Tactics and Fire Emblem, however it does its own thing nigh perfectly in gameplay. The only gripe I have is the purple prose dialogue, especially since I play with Japanese voice acting (although this shifts from character to character, to simbolize the nobility of certain characters, while others speak more down-to-earth words) but sometimes even sophisticated characters will say something as simple as "uh, Alain" and the text will be a 20 words Shakespearean verse. If you like this kind of games I do believe you would enjoy Valkyria Chronicles as well.
